Lucky We Put the Chains on the Tires!

Only 10 minutes before this we finally got the chains put on the tires. We had been told that (even though the signs said that chains were required) chains would not be needed any longer on our way up to the Lodge. Then it got colder and darker, and we decided to err on the side of safety. It started snowing the minute we pulled back on the road, and it didn't stop until the next morning. Beautiful! ... but better with the chains on!
